Happy Birthday Princess!

Someone is a year older!
As of yesterday we have a full fledged seven-year-old on our hands.

The transition from 6 to 7 is a pretty big one.
Mostly because at this age you haven't had very many Birthday's under your belt.

Our Princess's Birthday Day started off bright and early.
Well... actually, it started off before it was even the least bit bright out.
Notice the darkness that is hiding behind those windows.
She was still in a state of dreamland when she started off the festivities.
But the green bill she's holding was so worth it.
Green money was all she really wanted for her Birthday, and she got it!

And a few extra gifts that she loved just as much.

For her Party(that was TODAY!!!!) we decided to have a Valentines/Heart theme.
We figured it was the season of love, so why not have decorations up all month!

One of the other things our Princess really wanted for her Birthday, was a visit from our cousin.
The kids talk about her ALL the time, and it's always great when she can come over.
Of course we had to show off our fancy rope skills while she was here.
Jump rope has become all the rage at our house.
We started off jumping with just a measuring tape(a very homeschooled thing to do...) but now we've moved on to actually skipping ropes, and surprisingly it's become a lot easier.
The kids are actually really good at jumping rope!
I'm pretty impressed.

The Princess's party today was a big success!
We had six little girls over, and two boys(plus the Baby and the Little Superhero).

The Princess wanted everyone to wear pajamas.
Which was actually a lot of fun.
So the party ended up being a pajama party/valentine/heart theme extravaganza... of sorts.

The kids had a good time entertaining themselves, as well as playing the few games we had planned too.

Mom got us an old karaoke machine a couple days ago, from a thrift store, and that was a hit with everyone too.

We played a sleepover memory game where we had a bunch of items set out that you would take to a sleepover.

The kids would cover their eyes and we'd take something away and they had to guess what was missing.
They were all pretty good at that.
There might have been a bit of peaking involved... but over all everyone did a pretty good job of playing fair.

One of the other planned games we had was a stuffy scramble.
Each kid took a turn being blind folded and searching through the pile of other stuffies, feeling each one to try and find theirs.

For lunch, to keep with the heart/valentine theme, we served heart shaped mini pizzas.

After lunch it was present time!

She was absolutely thrilled with everything she got!

After presents the kids went to play for a while, and then we bundled everyone up and headed out to the back yard.

The Princess made a snowman the other day, and this morning when the family got up, a squirrel was nibbling away at the date eyes and buttons.
So we had to replace them.

The Baby just wanted to go out and play!

We planned a treasure hunt for out in the snow.
We froze little heart shaped gem's in margarine containers, and added some extra sparkles to the water.
We ended up with large, sparkly ice cubes!
The kids had fun searching for the shiny treasures.

Once the Baby finally got outside, everyone else came in...

After we all came inside, it was cake time!!!!
This it the Princess's cake, that she decorated herself.

MAKE A WISH!

It was a great party!
Happy 7th Birthday Princess!
