Halloween Fun

We had a great Halloween this year.

We usually have dress up every day, but it's always more fun when we have company in our favourite activity.
The Princess and the Superhero went through  several costumes through out the course of the day.

We totally forgot about our pumpkins that had been waiting outside, ready for us to carve, for more than a week.
We finally got around to bringing them inside, and the kids had a blast pulling out the stringy seeds, coated in slimy wonderfulness.

Can you tell they're enjoying it?

The little Princess wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty.

SLIMY!!!!

We all got into our costumes after supper.
The kids became a little rolly-polly with all the layers we had them wrapped up in.
Superman took a break for the evening.
Robin and Batman we on the scene.

The princess loved getting her face ready for the evening. She was supposed to be a butterfly fairy, so I just ended up covering her face with all the brightly coloured eye shadow I could find.
She looked super cute in her huge fluffy dress, but she didn't stay in that for too long.
It was way to big for her(it's even too big on me!) and she had a hard time trying not to trip in it.
So that only lasted for the very first part of the evening.
It's so fun to dress up for Halloween, the kids loved trick-or-treating, even the Baby did!
He got right into it, plunging his hands into every outstretched bowl.
The Princess was satisfied when she filled her bag.
She said. "It's so full! It's like I'm rich!"
And with that she headed back to show mom her loot, but Robin The Boy Wonder was no where near done.
He filled nearly three bags of candy, and he can't even eat half of it... allergies are so unfair.

All in all it was a fabulous excuse for the kids to show everyone their costumes and stay up late.

The finished product.
Aren't they the cutest.
